Instructions
You can either choose to use this as a hunt around the room or within a sensory bin. In this blog post I’m sharing the instructions for how I set this up as a sensory bin.
- Print out all of the included pages.
- Laminate the fire image with number names on.
- Pour red and yellow rice into a sensory bin. (Check out how I dye my rice here.) (You can find my sensory bin in the USA here and UK here.)
- Stand the flames up in the sensory bin.
- Optional – add in some fire pieces. I love using this firefighter from Little Wooden Peg Town. (You can order through her Instagram and use the code NIKKI10 for a discount – she ships worldwide!)
- Students have to find the flames in the sensory bin and then match them to the number on the flames on their worksheet. I usually have students use a crayon to color in the fires as they find them.
What’s Included?
- 4 engaging worksheets.
- 24 fires cutouts for an interactive learning experience.
What are the Benefits?
