Hi, my name is Nikki, and I’m the face behind Teaching Autism.
I have over 10 years of experience working in the educational field of autism and special education. I have worked with ages 11-16 and 3-7 year olds. My passion for creating hands-on and engaging resources, as well as providing support to other educators all around the world is what led me to create ‘Teaching Autism.’
I have always been passionate about providing engaging opportunities for activities to be student-led and to improve independence with my students. It is important to me to help my students reach their best potential and achieve their goals in a way that is suitable for their individual abilities and needs.
I am a firm believer in less stress and more success. That’s another reason why I created ‘Teaching Autism.’ The resources that I offer will allow you to integrate the highest quality resources and activities into your classroom or learning environment while taking the pressure off you.
I have built myself an excellent reputation with schools all around the world with my fun and different approach to learning. From having a pretend wedding – in an actual wedding venue – to learn about the Royal Wedding, to having crime scene transformations every month. I have put my own unique and creative spin on teaching which has helped students everywhere fall in love with learning.
