General FAQs
Teaching Autism creates educational resources, activities, task boxes, training, and other materials designed primarily for special education classrooms.
My goal is to create engaging, practical, hands-on resources that help educators support their students while saving valuable planning and preparation time.
Nikki Robertson, a special education curriculum designer with more than 10 years of experience, creates Teaching Autism resources for autistic and special education students.
I’m passionate about creating practical, engaging, neuro-affirming resources that support communication, independence, life skills, academic development, and meaningful participation.
Teaching Autism primarily creates resources for special education teachers and professionals who support students with additional learning needs.
Many resources are particularly suitable for PreK–2nd Grade, although suitability depends much more on an individual student’s skills, learning needs, and goals than their chronological age or grade.
Parents, caregivers, therapists, homeschoolers, and other professionals may also find many Teaching Autism resources useful.

Due to the digital nature of our products, we do not offer refunds. However, if you experience issues with a resource, please reach out, and we’ll do our best to help.
Resource Licensing
Teaching Autism generally licenses each standard resource purchase to one individual user, unless the product or license specifically states otherwise.
You should not email, copy, upload, or otherwise share the resource with another teacher, classroom, professional, department, school, or organization without purchasing the appropriate additional license.
Please see the Teaching Autism Terms of Use for full licensing information.
Yes. Unless otherwise stated, you may use a resource with the students you directly teach or support within your own classroom or caseload under your individual license.
You do not need to purchase a separate copy for every student in your own classroom.
A teaching assistant, paraprofessional, or other support professional may use the resource when working with your students as part of your classroom or caseload.
The resource should not be copied or transferred to them for independent use with another classroom or caseload unless they have the appropriate license.
You may provide completed or flattened activities to the parents or caregivers of students you directly teach or support where appropriate for educational or home-learning purposes.
Please do not provide original editable or reusable Teaching Autism files for redistribution.
You may use resources digitally with your own students through an appropriately secure, access-controlled environment where unauthorized users cannot access or download the resource.
You may not upload Teaching Autism resources to public websites, shared resource banks, school-wide drives, public Google Drive folders, social media groups, or other locations where unlicensed users can access them.
Not under a standard individual license.
Placing a resource on a shared drive where other teachers or professionals can access and use it effectively distributes the resource beyond the individual license.
Please contact me if you require wider school or organizational licensing.
Reasonable modifications for the individual accessibility or learning needs of students you directly teach or support are generally permitted.
However, modified Teaching Autism resources cannot be shared, sold, uploaded publicly, redistributed, or claimed as your own.
Not under a standard resource license.
Please contact contact@teachingautism.co.uk before using Teaching Autism resources as part of a commercial service, paid course, membership, training program, resource library, software product, or other revenue-generating offering.
Purchasing Resources
A ZIP file is a compressed folder that allows several files to be provided together in one download.
You will need to download and extract/unzip the folder before opening the individual files inside.
Most computers can do this without additional software. Some mobile devices and tablets may handle ZIP files differently, so I recommend downloading larger ZIP files to a computer where possible.
Teaching Autism resources may be available directly through the Teaching Autism website and through authorized third-party marketplaces, including Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT).
Availability and pricing may differ between platforms.
Unless a product description specifically states otherwise, Teaching Autism educational resources are digital products.
Nothing will be shipped to you.
Please read the individual product description before purchasing to confirm what is included.
The file type will depend on the individual resource.
Products may include:
- PDF files
- ZIP files
- PowerPoint files
- Digital activities
- Other downloadable formats
Please check the individual product description before purchasing.
Artificial Intelligence
Teaching Autism does not grant permission for its protected resources to be uploaded to AI or machine-learning systems for purposes including recreating, adapting, extracting, imitating, analyzing, training on, or generating unauthorized resources from Teaching Autism content.
Please see the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning sections of the Teaching Autism Terms of Use for the complete conditions.
You may not use Teaching Autism protected content to instruct or enable an AI system to recreate, imitate, adapt, extract, or generate unauthorized derivative or competing educational resources.
This includes uploading a Teaching Autism resource and asking an AI tool to create additional resources based upon it.
Memberships
Teaching Autism may offer memberships and subscription-based resource libraries that provide access to resources, activities, training, or other benefits.
Please check the relevant membership sales page for the most current information about what is included, pricing, billing, and access.
Memberships may be offered on a monthly, annual, lifetime-access, or other payment basis depending on the particular offer.
The applicable price and billing arrangement will be displayed before you purchase.
Recurring memberships can be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation instructions applicable to your membership.
Cancelling a recurring subscription generally stops future renewals rather than automatically refunding a membership period that has already begun.
Please see the Teaching Autism Refunds, Returns & Cancellation Policy for full information.
Unless the applicable membership terms state otherwise, resources legitimately downloaded while your membership was active may continue to be used by you under the applicable Teaching Autism Terms of Use.
However, cancellation may end access to the membership platform, resource library, future downloads, updates, new monthly resources, and other member-only benefits.
No.
Membership access is intended for the individual member unless your specific membership plan expressly states otherwise.
You should not share your account or login details to provide other people with access to member-only resources.
Where available, a school or organization may purchase access on behalf of an educator.
The membership and resource license will apply to the authorized user rather than automatically granting access to the entire school or organization.
Please contact me if you need help with a school purchase.
Courses & Training
Yes. Teaching Autism may offer online courses, recorded training, workshops, professional development, and other training opportunities.
Current training options and availability can be found through Teaching Autism’s course and training pages.
Unless the particular training product expressly includes group access, training purchased for an individual is intended for that registered participant.
Please contact me at contact@teachingautism.co.uk if your school or organization requires access for multiple staff members.
Resources supplied as part of a course or training remain subject to the applicable Teaching Autism license.
Purchasing or participating in training does not automatically give permission to redistribute accompanying Teaching Autism resources to other people.
