WHAT IS ST. DAVID’S DAY?
St. David’s Day is a Welsh national holiday celebrated on March 1st each year. This is to celebrate and remember Saint David, the patron saint of Wales.
To celebrate this day, across welsh there will be various festivities that showcase Welsh culture, heritage, and traditions.
Many people will wear daffodils or leeks, which are symbols of Wales. They may also participate in parades, concerts, and traditional folk dances. It is a time for people to come together to celebrate their Welsh identity and commemorate the life and contributions of Saint David.
