I don’t know about your students, but mine love all things dinosaurs. And sensory activities are always a huge hit! So we decided to combine them. And today I’m going to share the perfect dinosaur sensory activity for kids to use with your students.
This week, we decided that we wanted to offer a fun sensory activity to get our students digging for dinosaurs.
We put dinosaurs in apple juice in a bowl and then froze them overnight. The next day, we pulled them out of the freezer and put them onto the table for students to dig out. It also meant that the ice was edible for them – so we didn’t have to worry if they licked it or tried to eat it.
We also froze some in jelly mixture – and those turned out super fun! I’ve attached some images below for you to see.

My kids had so much fun using their spoons to dig out the different dinosaurs from the bowls. It was a super quick, easy and affordable activity to put together too.
