Disguise the Gingerbread Man Adapted Books

These disguise the gingerbread man adapted books are probably my favorite ever adapted books to use with my students. It’s a fun twist on your typical ‘Disguise the Turkey’ activities. And my students love getting to disguise the gingerbread man.

There are 4 adapted books included in this pack. And in each book, students need to follow the instructions to help disguise the gingerbread man or woman.

I love using adapted books because it gives my students the chance to work on a variety of different skills but in a hands-on and fun way! For example, with these adapted books students can work on skills like;

Book skills.
Reading skills.
Listening skills.
Following instruction skills.
Vocabulary.
Identifying pieces of clothing.
Matching.
Putting clothing and accessories on the correct body parts.

Instructions

Adapted books are actually super easy to put together;

Print out all of the pages.
Laminate the book pages.
Cut out and laminate the individual pieces.
Bind the book pages together as a book.
You can also use velcro dots on the book pages and the clothing pieces.
