These disguise the gingerbread man adapted books are probably my favorite ever adapted books to use with my students. It’s a fun twist on your typical ‘Disguise the Turkey’ activities. And my students love getting to disguise the gingerbread man.
There are 4 adapted books included in this pack. And in each book, students need to follow the instructions to help disguise the gingerbread man or woman.
I love using adapted books because it gives my students the chance to work on a variety of different skills but in a hands-on and fun way! For example, with these adapted books students can work on skills like;
- Book skills.
- Reading skills.
- Listening skills.
- Following instruction skills.
- Vocabulary.
- Identifying pieces of clothing.
- Matching.
- Putting clothing and accessories on the correct body parts.
Instructions
Adapted books are actually super easy to put together;
- Print out all of the pages.
- Laminate the book pages.
- Cut out and laminate the individual pieces.
- Bind the book pages together as a book.
- You can also use velcro dots on the book pages and the clothing pieces.
