As educators, we understand the importance of keeping students engaged, and what better way to do so than by incorporating movement and exploration into our lessons? This acorn-themed activity invites students to move around and hunt for the acorns inside your classroom (or outside!).
Your students will be up and moving, searching for acorns that correspond to numbers and their names. This hands-on approach not only makes learning fun but also aids in the retention of new concepts.
Instructions
- Print out the included pages.
- Laminate and hide the acorns around the room.. Or even in a sensory tray! I love using this squirrel one with popcorn kernels.
- Students have to find the acorns and then match the number names to the numbers on the acorns on their worksheet.
What’s Included?
- 4 worksheets.
- 24 acorns.
