I’m so excited to share my free Christmas visual recipe for special education students! This recipe is to make star shaped Santa biscuits – and I can confirm they went down a huge treat for us.

What are Visual Recipes?
Visual recipes are pretty much exactly as they sound. They are recipes that have visuals on them to make them easier for our students to follow. My visual recipes include a written ingredient and instruction list and then visual pages for students for ingredients and step-by-step instructions.
Why Use Visual Recipes?
I have been using visual recipes for probably over 10 years now – and honestly, there are so many benefits to using them! And I think one of the best benefits is that my students are able to be more independent with their cooking skills. I also use my visual recipes as exercises for students to write out the shopping list for cooking that week too, so you can really expand upon the skills with this.
