Why Use Adapted Books?
Adapted books are a fantastic resource for students in special education (or general ed!) because they provide structured learning in a fun and interactive way. Each adapted book in this series offers different levels of difficulty, allowing for differentiation based on individual student needs. Each of the adapted books in this download come in a fire safety theme.. Perfect to add to your community helpers unit.
What’s Included In Your Free Download?
Level 1: Count the Water
Students begin with the basics by counting water drops. They’ll learn to recognize numbers and associate them with the word form, such as “one/1” and “five/5”.
Level 2: Count the Flames in the Building
This level challenges students to count flames, helping them practice number recognition in context. Phrases like “one/1 flame” and “five/5 flames” aid in vocabulary and sentence building.
Level 3: Count the Fire Dogs in the Fire Truck
The final level involves counting fire dogs, reinforcing the skills learned in previous levels with more complex sentences like “Ten/10 fire dogs in the fire truck.”
