I’m so excited to share this free fire truck name craft with you today! Fire safety month is always something that I really try to work hard on with my students. It’s really important to teach them everything I can about fire safety.. And especially what to do if they have a fire at their home. These are such important life skills and it’s a topic that I revisit quite a lot throughout the year.
This fire truck name craft is a fun addition to your fire safety unit and is perfect for your students working on their name skills too!
What’s Included?
In the PDF you download, you will have access to black and white and color versions of this craft. This is so you can choose whether you want students to be able to color in their pieces or if you want to provide them with the already colored pieces.
There are pages included for names from 3-10 letters long.
How to Use
The most important thing to note is that this PDF file MUST BE OPENED on Adobe PDF Reader. Not on a webpage or in Mac Preview. This is because otherwise the fonts won’t embed and you won’t be able to edit as properly.
- Open the PDF in Adobe PDF Reader.
- Follow the contents page to find the worksheets you need (color or black and white and name size)
- Click inside each ladder (also at the start and end of each ladder) to type in one letter of the name.
- Print out the page.
- Student’s now complete the craft. They color in the black and white page. Then cut out all of the individual pieces. Stick them together to create a fire engine. Overwrite the dotted letters to form their name.
Additional Tasks;
- You can leave the ladders blank so students can write their own names.
- Print out a finished example of the fire engine for student’s to refer to or you can make your own with them.
