Free Turkey Hat Name Craft

I’m so excited to share this free turkey hat name craft with you today! This craft is a fun addition to your turkey or Thanksgiving theme.. But it’s also great for students to work on their fine motor skills, creativity and almost being able to identify, spell and write their name.

Plus the best news is – this craft is completely free for you to download at the bottom of this page and I’m going to walk you through how to complete it!

Materials Needed

• Turkey hat craft download (free at the bottom of this page.)
• Printer.
• White paper/card.
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• Crayons or felt pens (if choosing to use the b/w option rather than have printing in col.)
• Marker pen.

Instructions

• Open up the file in Adobe PDF Reader. This part is really important. It has to be opened in Adobe so that you get all of the correct formatting.
• In Adobe, you’re going to type in a letter of your student’s name on each feather.
• The craft comes in black and white or col. option for your printing preference.
• Print out the craft pieces.
• Color in all of the pieces.
• Next, cut out the hat and the extender rectangle piece.
• Then, students need to stick the eyes and beak on the front of the hat.
• Students need to cut out each of the feathers and overwrite the letters of their name.
• Next, students glue the feathers to the back of the hat.
• Then, students measure their head for the hat – they may need your support with this.
• Use the extender piece to extend the hat to the correct size and glue together. You can also use tape if needed.
• All finished! Students can wear their turkey name hat with pride!
