No-Carve Pumpkin Decorating for Kids

If you’re looking for easy no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas for kids, then you are going to LOVE this pumpkin decorating activity! It’s quick and easy to make.. You don’t have to carve a pumpkin.. And you can even use a fake pumpkin from the craft store if you want!

This craft is perfect for combining nature and crafts this Autumn/Fall season. In this blog post I’m including all the information you need to make this nature decorated pumpkin with your students – or at home with your children.

Materials Needed

Pumpkin. We used craft ones. USA Shopping Link. UK Shopping Link.

Modge Podge. USA Shopping Link. UK Shopping Link.
Leaves/flowers. (We chose to go and pick them but you can actually buy dried leaves/flowers on Amazon. USA Shopping Link. UK Shopping Link.)

Instructions

Head out on a fun nature walk and pick some different leaves, flowers and anything you think has a good representation of the season. We like to go when we’ve had a few dry days so that the items are all dried out ready.
Cover your pumpkin in glue.
Attach your leaves/flowers/nature pieces to the pumpkin. I find it best to push them down for a few seconds.
Use modge podge to cover over the nature pieces on your pumpkin to seal them.
Leave to dry.

They are really that easy to do and it’s a great activity to use up some time and get outdoors too!
