Materials / Ingredients Needed
- Mixing bowl.
- White chocolate.
- Marshmallows.
- Rice Krispies.
- Orange food dye.
- Wooden spoon.
- Microwave.
- Green M&Ms.
- Spoon.
- Ice-cream scoop.
- Sphere ice cube tray.
Since making our apple rice krispie cakes we have tried using a sphere ice cube tray. This made our rice krispie cakes round. It is completely optional.. But if you’re looking to make round rice krispie cakes, then the sphere ice cube tray works perfect. Check out the photos below for the differences.
Instructions
- Place white chocolate and marshmallows into a mixing bowl then place into the microwave to melt.
- Pour in some orange food dye and mix to get a good red.
- Next, pour in some rice krispies and mix it altogether.
- Use an ice-cream scoop to scoop out the rice krispie mixture into a round ball. Place onto a chopping board/tray.
- Alternatively, place the rice krispie mixture into sphere shaped ice cube trays. (Don’t put them in the freezer!)
- Place a green M&M on top of the rice krispie cake.
- Put them into the fridge to harden once complete.
