Description
These adapted books are great for working on alphabet and letter recognition skills. There is an adapted book included for each letter of the alphabet. Inside each book are images of items that start with that letter of the alphabet. Students can read – or be read – the short sentence on the top of the page. Then, name the image that they see, and find the matching symbol to put onto the page.
This is a great way for your students to work on their initial letter skills. It’s also great to work on symbol recognition and sentence building skills.
Adapted books are a great way to encourage students to pay close attention to detail. It also helps them to start to link vocabulary to the images that they see. Each book comes with symbols as well as a ‘base page.’ This is where the symbols can be stored when not in use. Students can select the symbols from here to use within the adapted books.
All books come in col. option only. Spelling is available to suit both colour/color, grey/gray etc.
Each book comes with instructions included on the first page. These tell you how you can put this book together to get the best possible use out of it.
These books are great to help students build up and work on their sentences. It encourages students to select the correct words(symbols) to match to the picture.
