Description
Do your students need to work on their alphabet matching skills? Are you looking for a hands-on and engaging alphabet matching activity to use in your literacy lessons and throughout Autumn/Fall? If so, these acorn puzzles are perfect to use with your students.
The acorns are split into 2 pieces of a puzzle. In order to put them back together, students need to identify and match together the upper and lowercase letters.
Your students will love working on their literacy skills with this fun and engaging letter matching activity. I recommend laminating all of the pieces included. This will make them stronger, longer lasting and reusable in the future.
Instructions
- Print out the pages.
- Cut and laminate the acorn puzzles.
- Lay them out in a literacy centre for your students to match the upper and lowercase letters together to form the acorn.
This activity fits perfectly into photo storage boxes – making it easy for you to stay organised and keep all the pieces together.
You can also use these acorns to stick onto a corridor wall and have your students complete this activity while they are waiting. They can also be used in sensory and tuff tray activities.
