Fishing for CCVC Words, CCVC Game

Description

This CCVC game is a fun and engaging activity where students will feel motivated working on this skill. Students have to use a fishing rod to catch the matching  words on the fish to the task card that is shown/given to them. This not only works on their CCVC words but also their image and word recognition.

You will need to purchase/have a fishing rod to play this game.

It is your personal preference how you use the rod with the fish, you can stick a paperclip to the back of the fish to use with a magnetic fishing rod or you can use a paper clip that sticks out past the fish mouth and bend up to be used with a grabber fish rod – as shown in the images.

The fish each have a CCVC word on them. At the bottom of the PDF file are flashcards with the images of CCVC words on them. Students have to catch the fish that matches the image on the flashcard that they have.

It comes in b/w or col option for your printing preference.
