These spelling puzzles will be a great addition to your Christmas Around the World topic. Each puzzle will engage your learners in a fun and hands-on approach. Your students will love learning about Christmas around the World.
The countries included are;

• Canada
• England

• Germany
• Italy
• Russia
Each country comes with their own PDF file of different puzzles. Every puzzle contains an image that has split into pieces. On the bottom of each puzzle piece is a letter. Once the puzzle is put together, the letters on the bottom of the puzzle pieces spell the word of the image. The puzzles come in both col and b/w option for your printing preference. The vocabulary is suitable for American or British classrooms.(Color, Colour etc).
There are a range of ways that these can be used in your classroom such as;
• Print out the b/w puzzles, cut them up and hand them out to your students. Have your students put the puzzles together, sticking them onto a piece of paper/into their work book. You can extend the activity by having your students colour in their puzzles.
• Print out the puzzles, cut them up and laminate them. Use them as a center activity where your students have to look at the letters on the bottom of each puzzle piece. Students have to put them into the correct order to spell the image.
• Print out two copies of each puzzle, laminate one as a full puzzle and cut out the puzzle pieces on the other puzzle. This will give your students a visual support and provides a lower ability option. This is great for students who may find it hard to complete these puzzles.
Instructions are also included on first pages of each PDF document. I recommend laminating each of the individual pieces. This will make them stronger and longer lasting. Your students will love these puzzles, and they are a great reinforcer to work on spelling skills. These puzzles will look great on display, and visitors will love seeing your work.
