Description
These sorting task cards are a great way for your students to work on their sorting skills while also trying to recognise if the images on the task cards are linked to Christmas or Halloween. These task cards will encourage your students to work on their categorising skills which are an important life skill. By having categorisation skills it will encourage our students to perform tasks more efficiently. Categorisation is an important life skill – which helps us to organise our world and function on a day to day basis. For example, if we are unable to learn the correct categories for life, we may not know where to purchase things such as milk. An individual with good categorisation skills knows to go to the dairy/fridge section of the supermarket to get their milk – an individual without, may be lost and not know where to go.
This resource contains 60 different task cards and all contain an image of something related to Christmas or Halloween and two options on the bottom of the task cards for students to choose their answer.
The task cards are in col and b/w option for your preference.
I recommend cutting out each card individually and laminating so that they will be stronger and longer lasting. Students can complete with a dry wipe pen so that they can be used again.
This resource is a great way for students to work on their sorting and categorising skills. They are used with an Autism Classroom on a regular basis which have really helped to develop the children’s understanding.
