These Christopher Columbus adapted books are a great way for your students to work on their vocabulary, language, symbol recognition and sentence building skills. Each of the adapted books included in this pack are linked to the theme of Christopher Columbus – perfect for introducing and learning about Columbus Day in your learning environment.
Students have to look at the images presented to them on each of the pages of the adapted books and then find the matching symbols to start the process of sentence building.
This resource comes in spelling options for BOTH variations – color/colour, gray/grey.
There are 4 different adapted books included in this pack and they are;
• Level 1 – What can you see? “anchor” “island” “ship” etc.
• Level 1 – What col. anchor can you see? “blue” “red” “yellow” etc
• Level 2 – What col. anchor can you see? “red anchor” “pink anchor” etc
• Level 4 – What can you see? “I see an anchor” “I see an island” etc.
With the different levels, you are able to differentiate for your individual students needs, but also to help them progress along the levels of sentence building.
Each of the books – except for the colour anchor books – come in both b/w and col option for your printing preference.
At the start of each of the PDF files you will find instructions on how to put these books together and use them to the best of their ability with your students.
