Description
These color recognition task cards (colour recognition task cards) are a fun and engaging resource that provides students with the opportunity to work on their recognition skills. There are 11 different task cards included in this resource and they come in both spelling options of color/colour gray/grey to suit a range of classrooms.
Students simply read the short phrase ‘I spy my little eye something …..’ and read the colour name and look at the splat provided- then choose the object that is that matching colour on the right hand side with the task card. If students are not at the level to read or are non-verbal, another student, or staff member, can read the instructions to the student. However, the task cards are easy to understand and student’s will be able to pick up what the task entails and how to complete it.
The best part about these task cards are that students can self-correct or change their answer without worrying about the answer they previously chose. This activity is a great way for you to work on your students fine motor skills as well, you can provide them with pegs to place on their answers, and once they start to master large pegs, you can downsize to smaller size pegs, really working on those fine motor skills – a skill that many of our students fine difficult to master.
Appropriate for American and British/Canadian etc. classrooms – gray/grey.
