Do your students need to work on their counting and number recognition skills? Are you looking for engaging counting adapted books to use throughout Autumn / Fall with your autism and special education students? If so, your students will love these books.
These books come in 3 different levels, and will get your students working on the following skills;
- Counting
- Number recognition
- Symbol recognition
- Vocabulary
- Reading
- Sentence building
With the 3 levels included, your students are able to work and progress throughout the levels.
Spelling is available to suit both colour/color, grey/gray etc.
The adapted books included;
- Level 1 Counting (0-10)
Students look at how many acorns are in the basket. Then, find the matching number symbol from the base board to place here. I.e ‘1/one’ ’10/ten’ - Level 2 Counting (0-10)
Students look at how many pumpkins are in the field. Then, find the matching number symbol and pumpkin from the base board to place here. I.e ‘1/one pumpkin’ ’10/ten pumpkins’ - Level 3 Counting (0-10)
Students look at how many apples are in the tree. Then, find the matching symbols to make a sentence. I.e ‘5/five apples in the tree.’
Each book comes with instructions included on the first page on how you can put this book together to get the best possible use out of it.
