Description
Do your students love dinosaurs? Are they struggling with their CVC word spelling skills? If so your students are going to love this CVC dinosaur activity task box.
How to Use
- Students copy the letters on the task cards.
- They identify the different CVC words and images.
- Students will form the letters to spell the CVC words. We love to use a sand tray for this. We set up a little dinosaur sensory tray with sand. Then, our students can form the CVC words in the sand.
CVC Words Included
- a – car, cat, ham, pan
- e – bed, hen, net, pen
- i – dig, hit, pig, lid
- o – dog, mop, log, fox
- u – bun, gum, hut, sun
Each task card contains an image of a CVC word, the name of the CVC word and some dinosaur images. These provide your students with a visual prompt to help them form their letters to make the CVC words.
This activity is best used when laminated. This way the pieces will be stronger, longer lasting and reusable. They will be a great addition to your literacy centers and CVC words activities.
