Description
These December story sequencing jigsaws are a great way for your students to work on their reading and understanding skills. There are 10 different story sequencing jigsaws included in this pack. Students will place the matching image puzzle pieces to the story jigsaw in the order that they take place.
All the jigsaws come come in both col. and b/w option for your printing preference. You can view all of the mini stories that are included below.
The stories that are included in this pack are;
Story #1
The red bird put on his hat and scarf then peeked out of the hole in his tree. He could see snowflakes falling from the sky. He flew up and out of his tree, when he got into the sky he looked down and saw the trees covered in snow below him. As he flew down to the floor he seen a giant snowman that the children had built.
Story #2
Snowy and his snowman family have gone on vacation to the Snowtel. Dad went straight to sleep in the hammock, while mom went to get a drink. I was so excited with all the snow that I put on my skis and went skiing down the mountain!
Story #3
Today we are learning about Christmas in America. First, we built a snowman. Then, we went to the ice rink to go skating. Next, we went carol singing to raise money for charity. Finally, we baked cookies and put them out with milk for Santa!
Story #4
Today, we are learning about Christmas in Canada. First, we wrote Christmas cards to our friends. Then, we tasted some eggnog. Next, we put a wreath on the classroom door. Finally, we tasted chocolate log.
Story #5
Today we are learning about Christmas in England. First we got to pull a cracker with our friend. Then, we tasted some mince pies. Next, we watched the Queen’s speech on TV. Finally, we baked a Christmas pudding!
Story #6
Today, we are learning about Christmas in France. First, we went carol singing. Next, we were told how children leave their shoes in front of the fireplace on Christmas Eve before going to bed. Then, we looked at twigs that naughty children receive. Finally, we learned that Santa is known as Saint Nicholas in France.
Story #7
Today we are learning about Christmas in Germany. First, we baked gingerbread men, they were really yummy! Next, we left each other small gifts in each others shoes. Then, we got to taste some stollen which is a fruit bread. Finally, we got to decorate our own nutcrackers and read a fairytale about them.
Story #8
Today, we are learning about Christmas in Italy. First, we read the story of the Nativity. Next, we got to taste a chocolate yule log. Then, we went to the Christmas market and tasted some roasted chestnuts. Finally, we looked at how they celebrate St. Nicholas Day on the 6th of December.
Story #9
Today, we are learning about Christmas in Russia. First, we made baubles with the Russian flag. We read how Babouschka delivers gifts on January 6th. Then, we were told about Grandfather Frost who would travel in a sleigh pulled by white horses. Then, we made and tasted solyanka.
Story #10
Today we are learning about the nativity. First, an angel visited Mary and Joseph, telling them they were going to have a baby. Next, they travelled on a donkey to Bethlehem. In Bethlehem there were no rooms left for them, so they stayed in a stable. Finally, baby Jesus was born in manger in the stable.
