Description
Your students will love using this ice breaker game during the back to school season. The perfect opportunity to get your students socialising and building friendships. This game is a great ice-breaker to use, especially during the first week of school. As this is when everyone is getting to know everyone else and get comfortable with their new classmates and teacher. It’s also great to use as a fun and educational game throughout the school year. This is great to give your students a break while also taking part in a fun game. It will ensure they are still continuing with their learning.
How to Use
- This game can be done in pairs, small groups or even large groups. It is a great way to get students communicating with each other and breaking the ice to get to know each other.
- It can also be used to help your students get to know you more as a teacher, and other members of staff in the classroom too.
- Each student has their own card (or more if you have spare). Every card contains a word and image i.e ‘bee’ – they then have to think of words to describe the bee, without saying the word bee. Students then have to listen to the words and try to figure out what the word that student has.
The task cards come in col and b/w option for your printing preference.
This is a great way for your students to work on their describing words and to become more confident with their peers, and have fun!
Instructions
- Print all the included task cards
- Cut out and laminate the task cards – this will make them stronger and longer lasting
