Are you looking for an engaging following instructions task box that’s fun and engaging? Your students will love following instructions with this hands-on task box activity. Your students will love working on their instructional skills while also being able to work on their fine motor and life skills.
Students need to follow the instructions on the task cards to put the pieces of clothing onto the clothes line. Students will work on;
- Understanding and Following instructions
- Color Recognition / Colour Recognition
- Number Recognition
- Fine Motor Skills
The task cards come in a range of levels to challenge your students. Some examples are;
1. Put 1 green skirt on the line.
2. Put 1 pink sock on the line. Put 1 blue sock on the line.
3. Put 1 green skirt on the line. Put 1 pink swimsuit on the line.
4. Put 2 red t-shirts on the line.
5. Put 1 yellow t-shirt on the line. Put 2 blue socks on the line.
6. Put 1 yellow sock, 1 green swimsuit and 1 pink trousers on the line
7. Put 1 orange dress, 2 red skirts on the line and 1 purple t-shirt on the line.
There are also 2 different types of clothing lines included – with and without pegs. The ones without pegs, we have glued mini clothing pegs onto the clothing lines. This way students will be working on their fine motor skills and actually putting the clothes onto the pegs on the clothing line.
They also come in different levels;
- 1 clothing peg
- 2 clothing pegs
- 3 clothing pegs
- 4 clothing pegs
Instructions
- Print out the pages included.
- Cut out and laminate each of the individual task cards and clothing pieces
- Students follow the instructions on the task cards to hang their clothes on the clothes line.
This activity fits perfectly into photo storage boxes – making it easy for you to stay organised and keep all the pieces together.
