Description
This resource contains 7 different, short story, sequencing jigsaws. Students simply read the short story then use the information that they have read to figure out which order to place the image into the jigsaw.
All the jigsaws comes in b/w option and col option for your preference.
The stories are;
★ Steve Irwin was a famous wildlife lover, he loved animals. He became famous for his show that he filmed about crocodiles. He grew up caring for animals in his parents’ wildlife park, which is now known as the Australia Zoo. He would travel all around the World, to different places to study different animals.
★ Jennifer was a nurse in World War 1. Her job was to treat injured soldiers. She would tell soldiers they must wear their helmets to protect their heads. When soldiers got injured in the field, Jennifer would travel in an ambulance to help them.
★ Sally is really hungry, but she has to wait for her family to arrive to eat their Thanksgiving dinner. She starts to think about the giant turkey they have cooked. Then, she thinks about the pie that grandma has made. Finally, her family have arrived and her mom pulls the turkey out of the oven, ready to carve for dinner.
★ This weekend is Thanksgiving, so we are having a family day before all the celebrations. First, we are going to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin. Then, we are going food shopping. When we get home, I help to ice the top of the cake, then we fall asleep on the sofa watching tv.
★ In 1620, people called the pilgrims travelled to America to start a new life. There were natives living there, they shared seeds with the pilgrims so they could grow their own crops. In 1621, they had their first harvest, and made a huge feast to celebrate.
★ In 1604, King James was ruler of the country and had lots of laws against the catholics. A group of men got together to make a plan. They bought a house which had a cellar shared with the Houses of Parliament. They planted barrels of gunpowder to blow it up, but soldiers found them before Guy Fawkes could set them off.
★ Today, me and grandma are going to cook a turkey. First, we have to put the turkey into the cooking pan. Next, we baste the turkey, then we put the turkey into the oven. Finally, once it’s cooked we check it’s temperature before starting to carve it for dinner.
