Are you looking for a hands-on pirate activity that your students will love? This find the treasure interactive book is sure to be a big hit with your students.
Your students are going to help Penelope the pirate find her missing treasure. Each page in this adapted book is interactive, requiring students to look around for the treasure.
Instructions
- Print out pages 3-7.
- Cut pages 3-5 in half and laminate them. Then, bind the pages together as a book.
- For pages 6-7 cut out all the pieces individually then laminate.
- Staple the top of the boat/sea on top of the jellyfish. Students lift the boat up to see the jellyfish underneath.
- Staple the top of the sandcastle on top of the crab. Students lift the sandcastle to see the crab underneath.
- Staple the top of the rock on top of the pirate hat. Students lift the rock to see the pirate hat underneath.
- Staple the top of the cave over the pirate treasure. Students lift it up to find the treasure underneath. Or, cut the cave image into half, staple one side of each over the treasure chest. Students open the 2 images like a window and see the treasure underneath.
