Description
Do your students need to work on their sentence matching skills? Are you looking for engaging activities to add to your autumn and fall theme? If so, this sentence matching activity is perfect to use with your students.
The clipart images are all linked to theme of Autumn/Fall. The images are on the top part of the puzzles. The bottom part of the puzzle contains a sentence. Students have to read – or be read – the sentence and then match this to the appropriate image displaying that. The covers for the task box come with both options; Autumn and Fall.
The sentences included;
- The boy is chopping wood.
- The boy is collecting leaves.
- The girl is dressing the scarecrow.
- The apples are falling off the tree.
- The girl is gathering apples.
- The boy is stacking hay.
- The girl is sweeping leaves.
- The boy is crunching leaves.
- The leaf is orange.
- The girl is raking leaves.
- The scarecrow is happy.
- The pie is hot.
- The apple is in the basket.
- The acorn is brown.
- The girl is reading a book.
- The fox is sleeping.
- The girl is drinking juice.
- The rabbit is eating a carrot.
Instructions
- Print the puzzle pieces.
- Cut out and laminate each of the individual puzzle pieces.
- Students complete the puzzles by matching the sentences to the images.
