Description
This sentence matching activity is perfect to use throughout winter with your special ed and autism students. The book is based on the season of winter, with wintry images included throughout. This adapted book is perfect for your students to work on their sentence recognition and matching skills.
On each page, students need to look at the image that is shown, and then using their provided sentences – match the sentence to the image. If you have higher ability students who are working on writing sentences, just provide them with a dry wipe pen and they can write their own sentences for each of the pages.
There are 9 different activities included in this adapted book for students to work on their sentence skills.
The sentences come in 2 different levels;
- With visual symbol support
- Without visual symbol support
However, as mentioned above you can also use this at an even higher level by having your students write their own sentences on each of the pages.
The sentences included are;
- The boy is by the fire.
- His feet are cold.
- These are ice skates.
- The snowman is melting.
- The girl is cold.
- He is throwing a snowball.
