The adapted books included in this pack come in different levels to differentiate. These are also great for students to progress through the levels.
Adapted books are a great way to encourage students to pay close attention to detail. They are also great for students to start to link vocabulary to the images that they see. Each book comes with symbols as well as a ‘base page.’ The base page is where symbols can be stored when not in use. Students select the symbols from the base page to use within the adapted books.
All books come in both col and b/w option for your printing preference.
 
Spelling is available to suit both colour/color, grey/gray etc.

Level 1 – “happy”, “sad” etc.
♦ How does the heart feel?
Level 2 – “happy heart”, “sad heart” etc.
♦ How does the heart feel?
Level 3 – “the heart in happy”, “the heart is sad”, “the heart is angry”

Level 1 – counting hearts in a jar, “4/four” “5/five”
♦ How many?
Level 2 – counting chocolates in a box, “2/two chocolates”, “4/four chocolates.”

Level 1 – ‘the troll is behind the ____’ – fill in the gap. One box/symbol, rest of sentence is already written.

Each book comes with instructions included on the first page. This is to help you put the books together and how to use them.
These books are great to help students build up and work on their sentences. It encourages students to select the correct words(symbols) to match to the pictures. It also helps them to place words/symbols in the correct order to build an appropriate sentence.
