This weather sentence matching activity is perfect for your literacy activities. It is a great way to get your students working on their sentence recognition skills. This adapted book is all about different types of weather.

On each page, students need to look at the image that is shown. And then using their provided sentences – match the sentence to the image.

For higher ability students, provide them with a dry wipe pen. This way, they can write their own sentences for each of the pages. This is a great way to get them thinking. As well as being able to work on their sentence building skills.

There are 9 different activities included in this adapted book.

The sentences come in 2 different levels;

With visual symbol support
Without visual symbol support

But, as mentioned above you can also use this at an even higher level. This is by having your students write their own sentences on each of the pages.

The sentences included are;

1. It is raining.
2. It is snowing.
3. It is sunny.
4. It is stormy.
5. I see a rainbow.
6. I see a tornado.
7. It is cloudy.
8. The boy is hot.
9. The girl is cold.
