What are the Benefits of Sensory Bins?
There are many benefits for using sensory bins in the classroom. These include;
- Helping to improve focus.
- Opportunity to work on concentration.
- Develop and improve fine motor skills.
- Opportunities for sensory integration.
- Allow students to experience different textures, colours, smells and sounds in a controlled environment.
- Can be made to cater to individual needs and preferences.

My Sensory Bin Set Up
I use the same sensory bin table set up all the time.. I’m a firm believer that if something isn’t broke, don’t fix it! And I’m 100% in agreement for this regarding my sensory bin set up. And.. I get it all from IKEA! I use;
- FLISAT Table.
- TROFAST Storage Boxes.
- TROFAST Lid.
