Thank you for purchasing, downloading, or using resources from Teaching Autism.

These Terms of Use & Resource License (“Terms”) apply to educational resources, digital downloads, printable materials, activities, teaching materials, and other content created and published by Teaching Autism (“Teaching Autism”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a Teaching Autism resource, you agree to these Terms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing or accessing a Teaching Autism resource grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use that resource in accordance with these Terms.

Purchasing a resource does not transfer ownership or copyright to you.

Copyright and all applicable intellectual property rights remain with Teaching Autism and/or the relevant third-party rights holder.

Teaching Autism retains all rights not expressly granted under these Terms.

AI NOTICE

Teaching Autism does not grant permission for its protected resources or content to be used for artificial intelligence training, machine learning, fine-tuning, model development, evaluation, text and data mining, scraping, dataset creation, automated extraction, or automated content generation.

You may not upload Teaching Autism resources to AI systems to recreate, adapt, imitate, extract, or generate unauthorized copies, derivative materials, or competing educational resources.

1. WHO MAY USE A RESOURCE?

Unless a different license is expressly provided with a particular product, a Teaching Autism resource is licensed to one individual purchaser/user.

For educators, this means you may use the resource personally and with the students you directly teach or support within your own classroom or caseload.

Your individual license does not automatically extend to:

Other teachers or teaching assistants
Other classrooms
Other therapists or professionals
Other departments
An entire school
A school district
An organization or company
Colleagues
Friends or family members
Any other individual who has not obtained the appropriate license

Where additional or multi-user licenses are available, the appropriate number of licenses must be purchased for additional users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, each additional individual license permits use by one additional individual user.

2. WHAT YOU MAY DO

Subject to these Terms, you may:

Use the resource personally and with students you directly teach or support.
Print and reproduce copies as reasonably required for your own students.
Save the resource to your personal computer, password-protected school device, or private personal storage account.
Display and use the resource within your own classroom.
Use the resource digitally with your own students through a secure, access-controlled learning environment where unauthorized users cannot access or download the original resource.
Send completed or flattened activities to the parents or caregivers of your own students for that student’s educational or home-learning purposes.
Recommend a Teaching Autism resource to another person by directing them to the official Teaching Autism website or an authorized product listing.
Purchase additional licenses for other users where these are available.
Make reasonable modifications solely for the purpose of meeting the individual accessibility or learning needs of a student you directly teach or support, provided that the modified resource is not shared, published, sold, distributed, or otherwise made available to others.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

Unless you have received prior written permission from Teaching Autism, you may not:

Share, email, copy, transfer, or distribute a Teaching Autism resource to another teacher, professional, classroom, department, school, organization, or individual who does not hold the appropriate license.
Upload or store a resource somewhere that allows unauthorized users to access or download it.
Post a resource publicly online.
Sell, sublicense, rent, redistribute, or give away a Teaching Autism resource, whether digitally or physically.
Copy, extract, reproduce, adapt, translate, repackage, or recreate protected Teaching Autism content for redistribution, publication, sale, or commercial use.
Claim Teaching Autism resources or protected Teaching Autism content as your own.
Incorporate protected Teaching Autism content into another product, resource, course, membership, subscription, training program, resource library, software product, application, commercial service, or other revenue-generating offering without appropriate permission.
Use a Teaching Autism resource for artificial intelligence or machine-learning purposes except where expressly authorized in writing by Teaching Autism.

4. SHARING & DISTRIBUTION

Teaching Autism resources are licensed to the individual user and may not be shared or distributed to others unless expressly permitted.

This includes uploading or providing resources to:

Shared Google Drives or other shared cloud storage
School-wide or district-wide drives
Shared Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar folders
School servers
Resource banks
Staff resource libraries
Websites or blogs
Social media groups
Facebook groups
Forums
File-sharing websites or services
Online marketplaces
Publicly accessible learning platforms
Shared curriculum repositories
Any other location from which unauthorized users could access, copy, download, or redistribute the resource

Purchasing a resource does not grant permission to make it available to other educators simply because they work within the same school, department, district, company, or organization.

Where appropriate additional licenses are available, additional users should obtain the appropriate license.

5. DIGITAL CLASSROOM USE

Teaching Autism resources may be used digitally with your own students where reasonable safeguards are in place.

Wherever reasonably possible, digital resources must be provided through a secure, password-protected, or access-controlled environment limited to the students you directly teach or support.

You may not post original resource files publicly online or in any location where they may be indexed by search engines, accessed by unauthorized users, or downloaded by other educators.

Where appropriate, completed or flattened materials may be provided to an individual student’s parent or caregiver for that student’s educational use.

Providing an original, editable, or reusable Teaching Autism resource file to parents, caregivers, colleagues, or other third parties is not permitted unless expressly authorized.

6. MODIFICATION & DERIVATIVE WORKS

Purchasing a Teaching Autism resource does not grant permission to reproduce, repurpose, adapt, or transform protected Teaching Autism content for redistribution.

Unless expressly authorized, you may not copy, extract, reproduce, adapt, translate, repackage, or recreate protected Teaching Autism content for the purpose of:

Creating another educational resource
Selling or distributing a resource
Creating templates
Creating worksheets, task cards, adapted books, activities, assessments, or teaching materials for distribution
Creating digital products
Creating products for another marketplace or website
Providing downloadable materials to others
Creating commercial products or services
Claiming the resulting material as your own

This applies to the resource as a whole and to its protectable original components, including original text, written instructions, activities, questions, arrangements, designs, and other original content, subject to applicable law and any third-party licenses disclosed in the resource.

Reasonable modifications made solely to accommodate the individual educational or accessibility needs of your own students are permitted, provided those modified materials remain within the scope of your license and are not redistributed.

7. COMMERCIAL USE

Teaching Autism resources are licensed for their intended educational use and are not licensed for unauthorized commercial redistribution or exploitation.

Unless you have obtained prior written permission or an appropriate commercial license, you may not incorporate protected Teaching Autism resources or content into:

Another product offered for sale
A paid membership
A subscription
A commercial resource library
A paid course
A workshop or training package
A paid online class
Commercially distributed tutoring materials
Software or an application
An AI-powered product or service
A commercial website
Any other revenue-generating product, service, or offering

Purchasing a Teaching Autism resource does not transfer its commercial exploitation rights to you.

8. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING

NO AI OR MACHINE-LEARNING RIGHTS ARE GRANTED

Except where expressly authorized in writing by Teaching Autism, you may not upload, submit, transmit, disclose, provide, or otherwise make protected Teaching Autism resource content, in whole or in part, available for use by:

Artificial intelligence systems
Generative AI systems
Large language models (LLMs)
Machine-learning systems
AI assistants or chatbots
Model providers
Dataset providers
Automated content-generation systems
AI-powered educational resource generators
Training or evaluation datasets
Retrieval or grounding systems
Text or data-mining systems
Scraping or automated extraction systems
Similar current or future technologies

This restriction applies whether the system is public, private, commercial, educational, internal, or otherwise.

9. AI TRAINING, DATA MINING & MODEL DEVELOPMENT

Except where expressly authorized in writing, protected Teaching Autism resource content may not be used, in whole or in part, for:

AI training
Machine-learning training
Fine-tuning
Model development
Model improvement
Testing
Benchmarking
Evaluation
Validation
Grounding
Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
Dataset creation
Dataset enrichment
Text mining
Data mining
Scraping
Automated extraction
Pattern analysis for model development
Content analysis for model development
Embedding generation for AI retrieval or generation
Automated reproduction
Automated adaptation
Automated content generation

Teaching Autism does not grant permission under these Terms for protected Teaching Autism content to be incorporated into a dataset, corpus, knowledge base, vector database, model, AI system, or similar technology for these purposes.

No license is granted under these Terms for AI training, machine learning, text and data mining, model development, automated content generation, or similar computational exploitation.

10. AI RECREATION, IMITATION & CONTENT GENERATION

You may not use protected Teaching Autism resource content to prompt, instruct, train, guide, condition, or otherwise assist an AI or automated system to reproduce or generate unauthorized copies or adaptations of protected Teaching Autism content.

For example, you may not upload a Teaching Autism resource and instruct an AI system to:

Recreate the resource
“Make something like this” using its protected content
Rewrite the resource for resale or redistribution
Generate additional pages derived from its protected content
Extract its activities or questions to create another product
Reproduce protected elements of the resource
Turn the resource into another commercial teaching product
Generate substantially similar versions of protected Teaching Autism content for redistribution

You may not use AI or automated technology as an intermediary to perform an act that would otherwise be prohibited under these Terms.

11. THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS & SERVICES

Submitting or uploading a Teaching Autism resource to a third-party platform or service does not, by itself, grant that third party a license from Teaching Autism beyond any rights Teaching Autism has separately and expressly granted.

You may not knowingly authorize a third party to use protected Teaching Autism content for purposes outside the scope of your license, including unauthorized:

Reproduction
Redistribution
Commercial exploitation
AI training
Machine learning
Text or data mining
Dataset creation
Model development
Automated content generation
Creation of derivative content

If using a third-party service requires you to grant that service rights over a Teaching Autism resource that you do not possess or that exceed your license under these Terms, you must not submit the resource to that service.

The fact that a Teaching Autism resource is made available through, purchased from, hosted by, or delivered using a third-party platform does not, by itself, constitute Teaching Autism’s consent for that resource to be used for artificial intelligence training, machine learning, text or data mining, model development, automated content generation, or similar purposes.

This section applies to existing and future websites, marketplaces, platforms, software, applications, AI providers, and technology services.

12. AUTOMATED SCRAPING & EXTRACTION

You may not use or facilitate bots, crawlers, scrapers, automated systems, scripts, software, AI systems, or similar technology to systematically extract protected Teaching Autism content for unauthorized reuse.

This includes unauthorized extraction for:

Dataset creation
Content databases
Resource-generation systems
AI systems
Search or retrieval corpora
Commercial analysis
Republishing
Redistribution
Competing products or services

13. THIRD-PARTY MARKETPLACE PURCHASES

Where a Teaching Autism resource is purchased through an authorized third-party marketplace, your use of that resource remains subject to the license applicable to the resource and these Terms to the extent legally applicable.

The marketplace may also impose separate terms governing use of its platform and purchases made through it.

Nothing in these Terms grants Teaching Autism rights belonging to a third-party marketplace, nor does purchasing through a third-party marketplace transfer ownership of Teaching Autism intellectual property to the purchaser.

Where additional licenses are offered through the marketplace, users who require their own license should obtain the appropriate additional license.

14. MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

Resources accessed through a Teaching Autism membership or subscription remain the intellectual property of Teaching Autism and/or the applicable rights holder.

Membership or subscription access does not transfer ownership or grant unlimited redistribution rights.

Unless the specific membership terms state otherwise, resources obtained through a membership are for the individual member’s licensed use and may not be shared with other educators, schools, organizations, or third parties.

Any additional terms presented when purchasing, joining, or accessing a particular membership or subscription also apply.

15. COURSES, TRAINING & OTHER PRODUCTS

Teaching Autism may offer courses, training programs, workshops, bundles, services, or other products that include downloadable or supporting resources.

Access to a course or training program does not automatically grant permission to redistribute its supporting materials.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, resources supplied as part of a course or training program are for the registered participant’s individual use.

Additional terms supplied with a particular course, training program, or product may also apply.

16. FREE RESOURCES

A Teaching Autism resource being provided free of charge does not place that resource in the public domain or waive applicable copyright.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, free Teaching Autism resources remain subject to these Terms.

You may share a link to the official Teaching Autism download page so others can obtain their own copy.

You may not upload the resource file elsewhere for others to download unless expressly authorized.

17. PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS & SOCIAL MEDIA

You may share photographs or videos showing a Teaching Autism resource being used in your own classroom or educational setting, provided doing so does not make the complete resource, answer set, or a substantial reproducible portion of protected material available for others to copy.

Where practical, we appreciate Teaching Autism being tagged or credited when our resources are shared on social media.

You may not use photographs, scans, screenshots, recordings, or screen captures as a method of reproducing or distributing the resource.

18. COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, copyright in original Teaching Autism content remains with Teaching Autism.

Teaching Autism resources may also contain fonts, graphics, clipart, photographs, or other elements licensed from third-party creators.

Ownership of those third-party elements remains with their respective rights holders, and their use is subject to the applicable licenses.

Purchasing a Teaching Autism resource does not grant you ownership of Teaching Autism intellectual property or third-party intellectual property contained within it.

Nothing in these Terms should be interpreted as claiming exclusive rights over ideas, facts, teaching methods, concepts, or other material that is not protected by applicable intellectual property law.

19. NO TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

Purchasing, downloading, accessing, or receiving a Teaching Autism resource does not transfer ownership of that resource or its underlying intellectual property to you.

You are purchasing or receiving a license to use the resource, subject to these Terms, rather than purchasing the underlying copyright or intellectual property rights.

No ownership rights are transferred unless Teaching Autism expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

20. COPYRIGHT NOTICES, BRANDING & WATERMARKS

You may not intentionally remove, obscure, alter, or misrepresent copyright notices, creator attribution, Teaching Autism branding, watermarks, Terms of Use notices, or other rights-management information included within a Teaching Autism resource for the purpose of unauthorized redistribution or misrepresentation.

21. PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS

Certain Teaching Autism products, memberships, subscriptions, bundles, courses, services, special offers, or licenses may be supplied with additional or different terms.

Where product-specific terms are provided, those terms apply in addition to these general Terms of Use.

If there is a conflict between these general Terms and terms expressly provided for a particular product, service, membership, promotion, or license, the product-specific terms will apply to that product or service to the extent of the conflict.

This allows, for example, a particular bundle, membership, course, or license to have different access, download, usage, or licensing conditions.

22. PERMISSION & EXTENDED LICENSING

We understand that educators, schools, organizations, trainers, publishers, and businesses may sometimes require uses that fall outside our standard individual license.

If you would like permission for:

School-wide use
District-wide use
Organization-wide use
Commercial use
Training or presentation use
Publication
Wider distribution
Adaptation
Translation
Integration with software or technology
Any other use not expressly permitted by these Terms

please contact Teaching Autism before using the resource for that purpose.

23. REPORTING UNAUTHORIZED USE

If you discover a Teaching Autism resource being shared, sold, reproduced, copied, or distributed without authorization, please contact:

Where possible, please include a link, screenshot, or other relevant information so that we can investigate.

24. ENFORCEMENT

Unauthorized copying, sharing, publication, redistribution, commercial exploitation, AI use, or other use outside the license granted under these Terms may constitute copyright infringement, breach of license, breach of contract and/or another infringement of Teaching Autism’s rights, depending upon the circumstances and applicable law.

Teaching Autism reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect its intellectual property and enforce its rights.

This may include, where appropriate:

Requesting removal of unauthorized material
Contacting the person or organization responsible
Submitting copyright or intellectual-property infringement notices to relevant platforms or service providers
Requesting suspension or removal of infringing listings or content
Suspending or terminating access to Teaching Autism services where permitted
Seeking payment for unauthorized licensing or use where appropriate
Pursuing other remedies available under applicable law

25. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Teaching Autism may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, technology, business practices, or applicable law.

The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page identifies when these Terms were most recently revised.

Where a particular purchase or license is governed by terms that legally became part of that transaction at the time of purchase, later changes to these Terms will not override rights that cannot lawfully be changed retrospectively.

We understand that not every possible use can be covered by a general Terms of Use policy.
