This free Santa craft writing prompt is one of the most popular activities I do with my students. I love watching how creative they get when they finish the prompt “When Santa got stuck up the chimney..”
I’ve seen everything from “He got bitten on his bottom by a dog!” to “He sneezed and flew out!”
This craft is everything you want to get your students working on a range of skills. And you can download it today for free! You’ll find everything you need in this blog post; materials needed, instructions and the resource as a free download.
Materials Needed
- The template; which you can download for free here.
- Printer.
- Paper.
- Pens/pencils/crayons.
- Pen.
- Glue.
- Scissors.
- Color card – I like to use red.
Instructions
- Print out the template.
- Cut out each of the individual pieces.
- Stick the pieces together to make a fireplace with Santa’s boots stuck up it.
- Now, stick this to the top of a colored piece of card – I like to use red.
- Next, students get creative and finish the prompt of “When Santa got stuck up a chimney..” (I provide 2 levels of writing cards in here for you – with and without handwriting lines).
- Once students have done this, they stick this onto the red card underneath the chimney.
- All done!
