What You Need
- Apples
- Fork
- Bowl
- Icing
- Mini cookies
- White rolled out icing
- Edible eyes
- Orange food coloring
- White chocolate
Instructions
- Break up bars of white chocolate and place in the microwave to melt.
- I then pour the white chocolate into a deep mug.
- Stick a fork in the top of the apple and dip into the white chocolate.
- Once covered, place onto a paper plate/board and place in the fridge to harden.
- To make orange or different colors, just mix food coloring of your choice into the white chocolate mixture and then dip your apple into it.
- If you want to make a mouse like we did, before dipping in the chocolate mixture.. Make two slits in the top of the apple on each slide. Push the mini cookie into each side to act like ears, then dip into the chocolate mixture.
- Once hardened, decorate your candy apples with icing pens. To attach the edible eyes, we dipped them into some leftover melted chocolate and stuck them on.
- For the ghost, we cut out a piece of rolled out white icing and then hung it over the apple. We styled the outside of the icing to make it look like a ghost.
