If you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll know how much we love to do crafts. And Mother’s Day is no different! Today I’m sharing my 3 top mother’s day crafts for kids that will go down a storm for your students families!
Handprint Card
We love to make our crafts personal and individual. And my kids love to paint with their hands! So this flower hand bouquet made the perfect Mother’s Day card.
First, we painted the children’s hands in different colours. Then stamped them onto the paper to form a flower bouquet. We let the paint dry on each colour before printing the next colour hand. Once everything had dried, we added some green stems and a pink bow.
Inside, my students signed their names for their mothers.
Mother’s Day Poem
For this one, we had our students typing on the computer. We typed the poem together on the flower pots and printed them out. My students also hand printed green paint. Then we used our fingers to decorate the tips of our finger on the handprint to make flowers. When we glued it all together, it looked wonderful!
Heart Plate
Making these plates were one of the best ideas we had. We used our hands to print onto the plate in the shape of a heart, and then decorated it. We finished it off with setting spray. We made some heart chocolates and placed them on the plate to send home.
Our students families went crazy for the plates and many of them now have them up on display in their homes. The plates were so cheap to buy, as they were only plain white ones. But the gift meant so much to our families.
