Today in this blog post I’m sharing Mother’s Day crafts for kids to make! We have been super busy putting together some crafts and gifts for our student’s mothers and important female figures for Mother’s Day.. And I am so excited to share them with you for you to try with your students too!
This blog post gives a quick overview of what we have made for Mother’s Day in our classroom. Underneath each, you’ll find a link to a blog post for each activity that provides full instructions and materials you will need for each.

Mum, I Love You to Pieces Card
We loved making this card and it turned out soo much better than we even hoped for! It almost provided my students with a chance to get creative and make their cards more personal to them. With each craft we do in class, I really try to encourage my students to put their own spin on it. And they really did that with these cards.

Flower Biscuits and Chocolates
Next, we made some chocolate hearts and butterflies, and flower biscuits. My students had so much fun decorating their biscuits in all sorts of different ways. We put them into plastic cones to send home to make them a super sweet gift!
You can find the full instructions to make these here.
Mother’s Day Portrait Handprint
These turned out soo much better than I even envisioned.. And my student’s mothers absolutely loved receiving them! We had our students fetch in pictures of their mothers so that we could provide a visual for our students to look at so that they can make their handprints look like their mothers.
You can find the full instructions here.
I Love You Maa
You can choose for this to be a card or a craft that you sent home. But either way, this craft is super cute and easy for students to make. It’s perfect if you’re just wrapping up a farm theme in class too!

These Hands Hold My Heart Forever
This craft is super adorable and makes the best keepsake. As a mother, I love when I receive crafts that I can put away and keep to look back on.. And this one is perfect for this! Plus it’s super quick to make with your students. Plus, you can also have students choose their own colors to make it more personal for them too.
