Today I’m talking all about my routine for morning work for autism and special education students. I’ve been using this routine for a few years now, and it’s always successful with my students.
But best of all, it lets us have a positive start to the day – and that sets us up for a much happier day.
I’ve always found it very important to ensure that the morning is a consistent and structured approach for students. They may have already had a morning of uncertainty coming into school.
Maybe they got stuck in traffic, maybe there were roadworks so they had to go a different way. So you want to try and ensure that you’re providing a consistent morning routine for your students so they know what to expect in the mornings.
Today on the podcast I’m talking about;
- Arrival to School
- Breakfast
- Interactive Morning Greeting
- Morning Work
You may also want to head back and listen to last weeks episode, if you haven’t already, where I talk about task boxes. I love to use task boxes as part of my morning work routine. You can listen to it here.
