Thank you for purchasing from and supporting Teaching Autism.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. This Refunds, Returns & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle digital products, memberships and subscriptions, training and courses, physical goods, and other Teaching Autism products and services.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
1. DIGITAL PRODUCTS & DOWNLOADS
Digital products include downloadable resources, PDFs, printables, digital activities, resource bundles, templates, and other products supplied electronically.
Due to the nature of digital products, digital purchases are generally final and non-refundable once access or downloading has begun, subject to your statutory rights.
Where applicable, by requesting immediate access to digital content during a statutory cancellation period, you may be asked to expressly consent to supply beginning immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once supply begins.
If you experience a technical problem accessing or downloading your purchase, please contact us at:
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the problem and provide access to the product you purchased.
A technical issue that we can reasonably resolve does not automatically entitle the purchaser to a refund.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have where digital content is faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements.
2. CHANGE OF MIND – DIGITAL PRODUCTS
Because customers receive access to digital products electronically and may be able to download, save, print, or use them immediately, we do not provide refunds for change of mind after the customer has validly lost any applicable cancellation right.
This includes situations where a customer:
- Changes their mind after purchasing
- No longer requires the resource
- Purchases the wrong resource by mistake
- Finds that they already own the resource
- Does not read the product description before purchasing
- Decides the resource is unsuitable for their personal circumstances after accessing it
We encourage customers to read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Where a statutory right to cancel or another statutory remedy applies, that right will take precedence over this policy.
3. MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
Teaching Autism may offer recurring monthly or annual memberships and subscriptions.
The price, billing frequency, included content, minimum term (if any), and cancellation arrangements applicable to a particular membership will be displayed when you purchase or subscribe.
Unless otherwise stated, cancelling a recurring membership stops future renewals. Cancellation does not provide a refund for a membership period that has already begun or been supplied, except where required by law or expressly provided under the applicable membership terms.
Where permitted by applicable law, access may continue until the end of the period for which you have already paid.
Customers remain responsible for cancelling recurring subscriptions in accordance with the cancellation instructions provided with their membership.
Any statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights that apply to a subscription remain unaffected.
4. DOWNLOADED MEMBERSHIP CONTENT
Memberships may provide access to downloadable resources during the period of active membership.
Unless the specific membership terms state otherwise, resources legitimately downloaded while your membership is active may continue to be used by you after cancellation in accordance with the applicable Teaching Autism Terms of Use.
However, cancellation or expiry of a membership may end access to:
- The membership platform
- Resource libraries
- Future resources
- Future updates
- New monthly content
- Member-only areas
- Member benefits
- Training or other services included with active membership
Cancelling a membership does not transfer ownership or additional licensing rights to the member.
5. CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
Teaching Autism may occasionally need to modify, restructure, replace, suspend, or discontinue a membership or subscription because of circumstances including changes to:
- Third-party platforms or marketplaces
- Hosting providers
- Technology or software
- Licensing requirements
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Commercial arrangements
- Availability of services
- Business operations
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Where reasonably possible, we will provide affected members with appropriate notice of a material change.
Where a change materially affects prepaid membership benefits, Teaching Autism may, where lawful and appropriate, offer an alternative arrangement such as:
- Continued or alternative access to resources
- Replacement digital resources
- Access to another Teaching Autism product or service
- Store or resource credit
- A selection of Teaching Autism resources of comparable value
- Another reasonable alternative agreed with the customer
6. LIFETIME ACCESS PRODUCTS
Where Teaching Autism describes a product as providing “lifetime access”, “lifetime” refers to the commercial lifetime of the relevant Teaching Autism product, program, platform, or service, unless the applicable sales terms expressly state otherwise.
Lifetime access does not guarantee that a particular third-party platform, website, technology, or delivery method will remain available indefinitely.
Teaching Autism may migrate or replace the platform or method used to provide access.
If Teaching Autism permanently discontinues a lifetime-access product, we will take reasonable steps, where practicable and appropriate, to provide affected customers with an alternative means of accessing relevant purchased content or another reasonable solution, subject to applicable consumer law.
7. COURSES & TRAINING
Teaching Autism may provide online courses, recorded training, live training, workshops, and professional-development products.
Refund and cancellation rights may vary depending upon the type of training purchased and when access or performance begins.
For digital or recorded training supplied immediately, customers may be asked to expressly request immediate access and acknowledge the effect this has on any applicable statutory cancellation right.
Where a customer has already accessed, streamed, downloaded, attended, or substantially used training content, refunds will not normally be provided for change of mind where the customer has validly lost the applicable cancellation right.
If Teaching Autism cancels a scheduled live training event, we may offer rescheduling, an appropriate alternative, or a refund where required or appropriate.
Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.
8. BUNDLES & SPECIAL OFFERS
Certain bundles, promotional offers, collaborative bundles, limited-time products, or special events may have additional refund, access, or download conditions.
These conditions will be displayed on the applicable sales page or provided at the time of purchase.
For example, a limited-time bundle may provide access to downloads for a specified period.
Customers are responsible for downloading products within a clearly stated access period.
Where product-specific terms conflict with this general policy, the product-specific terms will apply to that product to the extent permitted by law.
Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. THIRD-PARTY MARKETPLACE PURCHASES
Products purchased through a third-party marketplace or platform may be subject to that platform’s payment, cancellation, and refund procedures.
If you purchased a Teaching Autism resource through a third-party marketplace, you may need to submit your refund or support request through the marketplace where the transaction occurred.
Teaching Autism cannot directly refund payments that Teaching Autism did not process where the applicable marketplace controls the transaction.
Any statutory rights you may have remain unaffected.
10. PHYSICAL GOODS
For eligible physical goods purchased online, consumers may have a statutory right to cancel their order within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exceptions.
After notifying us of a valid cancellation, you must return the applicable goods within the legally required timeframe.
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed by Teaching Autism, customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods.
Returned items should be appropriately packaged and returned in a condition consistent with reasonable examination of the goods.
We may make deductions where permitted by law if handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods has reduced their value.
11. PERSONALISED & CUSTOM-MADE GOODS
Certain statutory cancellation rights do not apply to goods made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
Therefore, customised or personalised products generally cannot be returned simply because the customer changes their mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or otherwise does not meet applicable legal requirements.
If a personalised or custom-made product arrives damaged, please contact:
as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs of the damage where appropriate.
12. DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS
If you receive a physical item that is damaged, faulty, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at:
Please include your order details and, where appropriate, photographs showing the issue.
We will assess the problem and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
13. DUPLICATE PURCHASES & PURCHASE ERRORS
If you believe you have accidentally purchased the same Teaching Autism product more than once through Teaching Autism, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may be able to investigate the transaction and, where appropriate, provide assistance.
This does not guarantee a refund where a refund is not otherwise required, but we will consider genuine duplicate transactions reasonably.
14. PAYMENT DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
If you believe a payment has been taken incorrectly or you have a problem with a Teaching Autism purchase, please contact us first at:
We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate and resolve legitimate billing or access issues.
Nothing in this policy prevents a customer from exercising any legal rights available to them through their payment provider or applicable law.
15. REFUND METHOD
Where Teaching Autism approves or is required to provide a monetary refund, we will normally issue it to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Processing times after we issue a refund may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Any store credit, resource credit, replacement resources, or alternative compensation offered by Teaching Autism will be clearly identified as such.
Unless the customer agrees otherwise, we will not substitute store or resource credit for a monetary refund where the customer has a legal right to receive a monetary refund.
16. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in this Refunds, Returns & Cancellation Policy excludes, restricts, or seeks to override rights or remedies that consumers have under applicable law and which cannot legally be excluded.
For UK consumers, relevant protections may include the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable distance-selling and consumer-contract legislation.
Digital content that fails to meet statutory requirements can attract remedies including repair or replacement and, in certain circumstances, a price reduction. GOV.UK
