4 Elf Feelings Adapted Books for Special Education | Christmas Adapted Books
How is the elf feeling? Are you looking for hands-on and engaging resources for your elf or Christmas theme activities? Do your students need to work on their feeling recognition skills?
Looking for an interactive and engaging resource for your students? Look no further than these “How is the Elf Feeling?” adapted books! As an autism specialist, I understand that having the right tools is essential for our students’ success. These adapted books are the perfect addition to any Christmas or elf themed activities and will help your students work on their feeling and symbol recognition skills.
On each page of these adapted books, your students will need to identify how the elf is feeling and find the matching symbol(s).
Instructions
- Print out all of the pages.
- Cut out and laminate each of the pages and bind them into an adapted book.
- Cut out and laminate each of the individual symbols and place velcro onto the back of them.
- Laminate the final base – the baseboard – and add velcro onto these.
- Place the individual symbols onto the baseboard. Students choose the symbols from the baseboard to place onto the page as they complete the adapted book.

- Level 1 How is the Elf Feeling? (I.E. happy, sad, angry.)
- Level 2 How is the Elf Feeling? (I.E. happy elf, sad elf, angry elf.)
- Level 3 How is the Elf Feeling? (I.E. elf is happy, elf is sad, elf is angry.)
- Level 4 How is the Elf Feeling? (I.E. the elf is happy, the elf is sad, the elf is angry.)
