Materials You’ll Need

To make your own witch toilet roll craft, gather these supplies:

1 empty toilet paper roll (or cardboard tube)
Black construction paper (for the hat)
Orange paper, string, or ribbon (for the witch’s hair)
White and black paper (for the eyes)
Sequins, stickers, or gems (optional decorations)
Glue stick or school glue
Scissors
Red marker or crayon (for the mouth)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Cover the Toilet Roll

Start by wrapping the toilet paper roll with construction paper in a skin-tone or orange shade. Secure it with glue or tape so it forms the witch’s face. Some of my students actually like to use green paper to make their witch have green skin.

Step 2: Make the Hat

Cut a large triangle from black construction paper and roll it into a cone shape to form the witch’s hat. Add a strip of blue or purple paper for a hatband. You can also glue on sequins, glitter, or stickers for a little sparkle.

Step 3: Add the Eyes

Cut two circles from white paper and two smaller circles from black paper. Glue them onto the roll to create googly eyes. You can angle them to give your witch a silly or mischievous expression.

Step 4: Add Hair

Cut thin strips of orange paper or ribbon. Curl them by wrapping around a pencil, or just let them hang straight. Glue them to the sides of the toilet roll so your witch has fun, curly hair.

Step 5: Draw the Face
